Members Recital

In his visit for the hymn weekend, Jan Overduin said how impressed he was at the vibrancy of our centre, and how everyone worked together so well to produce an event. This is not news to me, when I think about the number of events we present each year. Most importantly, it happens because so many give tirelessly and cheerfully of their time and abilities.

All members of the executive, and many others in the centre - you always come through - big thanks for all that you do for the ROCC. Special recognition must go to Ben Schinkel, who, early on, offered Essex Christian Reformed Church for the event, spearheaded the advertising, go the word out to forma choir, and asked members of the church to provide hospitality for the choir and audience. Thanks must go as well to Bonnie Currie, ECRC organist, for all her work in helping prepare music for the festival.

Do you have ideas for events or discussion panels for Windsor Centre next year? One of our executive members drew our attention to an article in the Presbyterian Record about church music today. We are all challenged to adapt to a changing culture as it becomes part of worship (Click here to read the article) Is this a topy you'd like to see addressed? How do we deal with this in ways that provide leadership? Are there workshops you'd like to see us present? Let any member of your executive know your thoughts, as it'll guide us in planning next year's program.
